Riley started skiing this winter. He really wanted
to learn to snowboard, but we thought he should learn the basics on skis first. He absolutely loved it! He
took lessons with Mohan Skiing and Boarding at Summit Central. Cheryl was a ski instructor with John
Mohan when she was in high school. It was neat to have Riley learn to ski in the school where Cheryl once taught.
Riley took to skiing right away. They started out the first day on the Magic Carpet and he was board.
The next week he learned the chair lift, and he was off! After his last lesson, we took him up one of the intermediate
runs and he did great. Since Riley did so well this year, next winter we will have to give into him leaning
to snowboard.
